MEET KIRSTEN
I'm Kirsten, the founder of Kirsten Wray Photography!
KWP has been incorporated by the State of Indiana since 2008 and is based in Indianapolis, IN. After graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I moved to Indianapolis to begin a career as a professional photographer. Servicing the local area of Indianapolis and surrounding areas, I often provide services for clients across the US and worldwide. I love to travel and never turn down a chance to photograph in a new location.
I specialize in a beautiful mix of traditional portrait photography and journalistic candid storytelling. Paired with a lot of fun, I strive to enthusiastically direct and produce natural and emotional wedding and portrait photography. I want you to always look back at your photographs and remember the feelings and emotions of the day!
From the initial call to the final consultation, I guarantee you will be satisfied with my work every step of the way. I enjoy capturing those special moments in people’s lives which will be cherished for a lifetime. I look forward to photographing you, your family, and your friends.
Besides photography, I am a mother, sister, and friend! I married the love of my life in 2011, and we welcomed our first little one in January 2019. Unfortunately, I lost my partner in crime in 2022 to a sudden and unforeseen heart issue. Two days prior to my husband's passing we took family pictures. It has been a challenging time and adjustment. However I value those pictures more than anything in the world. I want my clients to always cherish and have the memories that tell your story. It has also made me a better photographer. Capturing the joys of life brings me great happiness. I have always strived to make KWP a family and in the last year I know that my dreams have come true! I have three fur kids as well. I love being a mom and dog mom all at the same time! I am obsessed with traveling and just relaxing with my family and friends.
My clients are not just names on my calendar or numbers on a spreadsheet. I have made some really great friends over the past 16 years while being involved in their wedding and portrait photography experience, and I look forward to being a part of yours!

Cassy
Hi, I'm Cassy! I've been working with Kirsten since 2014, as a baby college grad just learning the ropes of digital photography and the wedding industry. My undergrad at Ball State was in fine art photography, with lots of film and darkroom work. Now, I absolutely love what I do and helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day. My goal with every wedding I walk into is to help you make as many happy memories as possible, and capture every one of them. In addition to the title of photographer, I am Mama, wifey, dog mom, cat mom, gardening/native-plant/conservation enthusiast, Marvel geek, and lover of all things outdoors. I can't wait to work with you!

My love for photography began in high school, with my dad starting his photography career then as well. After watching him follow his passion, I knew I wanted to do the same. We opened a studio together and had the time of our lives! After his retirement, I decided to close down the portrait studio and pursue my love for weddings. Everything about the day- the people, the emotions, and ALL the pretty things- it just makes me swoon!
When I’m not doing the job I love, you’ll find me with my family. My husband, Kyle, and I have been married for 14 years and have two gorgeous children (I’m not biased, I swear!). I also try to find time for brunch with friends, solo shopping days, and checking out the different parks and nature preserves in our area. I love to laugh, am known for my patience and optimism, and will NEVER turn down a refill on my coffee!

Kirsten Wray is amazing! Since when we first met her for our engagement shoot, she has always made us feel so comfortable and made the whole experience more fun. She was so helpful with all of the details leading up to the wedding day - she is super experienced and great at what she does and it really shows. On the big day she was absolutely essential. We had awful weather, and she really eased our minds with finding places for photos, making everything go smoothly, and taking incredible photos! I don't know what I would have done without her. Kirsten is fabulous to work with. From the very first meeting to the wedding day she is always on top of it, happy to answer questions, and easily available- even giving her cell number out and answering texts promptly. She is super nice and made both my husband and I feel comfortable, which is saying something because we can both be awkward humans lol. I absolutely love her style and the bright, bold colors she brings out in her photos. Our pictures are the perfect mix of posed and candid. I am so pleased with my engagement pictures and wedding preview pictures- honestly after seeing the preview pictures (200!!) I am even more excited to see the rest! Thank you Kirsten for capturing our day in these beautiful pictures that will last a lifetime.
Kirsten and her team are SO amazing!! Not only are they an amazing group of women but their work is high quality. It literally felt like some friends were taking pictures and giving me good pose ideas for solid A+ wedding photos. We didn’t feel stiff and posed in our pictures and a lot of our photos captured real smiles. I am so impressed with how fast we got our sneak preview back as well. Kirsten is totally part of our family now! Love her and Nikki to death!!
