I am the Founder and Lead Photographer here at KWP! I strive to elevate lives and brands with compelling imagery in every aspect of my photography. With over 20 years of Photography experience storytelling through imagery is my true passion. If its your first I DO’s or a complete rebrand of your company I will be there to tell your story. I love seeing my family photography clients year after year and telling their life journey as they continue to grow. KWP is based in Indianapolis, but works worldwide with our clients every year.
I incorporated KWP in 2008, after 4 wonderful years at Ball State University. I graduated with a degree in Fine Art with a emphasis in Photography. I moved to Indianapolis in 2007 to begin this wonderful journey. KWP has been working with 100s of clients ever since. My clients are not only clients but very often become life long friends!

I can say with full confidence I am different! Photography is my passion. We will work with you every step of your photography experience. We will take the time to plan, style and intentionally create wonderful images for all occasions throughout life. We want you images to promote your personality, your passions and your people. We will not only deliver professional images for you and your family. I thrive to create and experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE-
Beyond the lens I am a Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. My biggest joy in life is my little one. Often referred to as mini me! She has shown me a completely different outlook on love and life. I often bring this into my photography everyday. I was extremely fortunate to marry the love of my life in 2011. He unexpectedly passed away from an unforeseen heart issue in 2022. This life changing event has changed me in so many different ways. Again, putting intention and love behind every photograph I take. Photography stops a moment in time. Photographs can be looked upon for a lifetime and beyond.

My favorite things
I danced for 25 years - Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical—you name it, I’ve probably danced it! Dance has been a huge part of my life, and I love how movement and storytelling inspire my work behind the camera.
I’m an Expert Skier - The mountains are my happy place, and the back bowls of Vail? Absolute perfection. There’s nothing like fresh powder, crisp air, and the rush of a great run.
Travel is My Love Language - I’ll take any chance to explore somewhere new! Some of my favorite places I’ve been are Australia, Thailand, Turks & Caicos, St. Lucia, St. John, England, Ireland, Savannah, and Charleston. Whether it’s the charm of historic cities or the beauty of tropical beaches, I love experiencing new cultures, stunning landscapes, and capturing it all along the way.
Some Random Things Just Because!
Favorite color? Pink (always and forever).
Favorite food? Tacos with queso—can’t say no.
Favorite drink? A good espresso martini.
Best season? Fall. The colors, the crisp air, the cozy vibes—what’s not to love?

My love for photography began in high school, with my dad starting his photography career then as well. After watching him follow his passion, I knew I wanted to do the same. We opened a studio together and had the time of our lives! After his retirement, I decided to close down the portrait studio and pursue my love for weddings. Everything about the day- the people, the emotions, and ALL the pretty things- it just makes me swoon!
When I’m not doing the job I love, you’ll find me with my family. My husband, Kyle, and I have been married for 14 years and have two gorgeous children (I’m not biased, I swear!). I also try to find time for brunch with friends, solo shopping days, and checking out the different parks and nature preserves in our area. I love to laugh, am known for my patience and optimism, and will NEVER turn down a refill on my coffee!

Kirsten Wray is amazing! Since when we first met her for our engagement shoot, she has always made us feel so comfortable and made the whole experience more fun. She was so helpful with all of the details leading up to the wedding day - she is super experienced and great at what she does and it really shows. On the big day she was absolutely essential. We had awful weather, and she really eased our minds with finding places for photos, making everything go smoothly, and taking incredible photos! I don't know what I would have done without her. I would choose her again and again. Thank you Kirsten!
Kirsten is fabulous to work with. From the very first meeting to the wedding day she is always on top of it, happy to answer questions, and easily available- even giving her cell number out and answering texts promptly. She is super nice and made both my husband and I feel comfortable, which is saying something because we can both be awkward humans lol. I absolutely love her style and the bright, bold colors she brings out in her photos. Our pictures are the perfect mix of posed and candid. I am so pleased with my engagement pictures and wedding preview pictures- honestly after seeing the preview pictures (200!!) I am even more excited to see the rest! Thank you Kirsten for capturing our day in these beautiful pictures that will last a lifetime.
Kirsten and her team are SO amazing!! Not only are they an amazing group of women but their work is high quality. It literally felt like some friends were taking pictures and giving me good pose ideas for solid A+ wedding photos. We didn’t feel stiff and posed in our pictures and a lot of our photos captured real smiles. I am so impressed with how fast we got our sneak preview back as well. Kirsten is totally part of our family now! Love her and Nikki to death!!
